Massagetae Suku Massagetae atau Massageteans , juga dikenal sebagai Sakā Tigraxaudā atau Orthocorybantia , adalah sebuah orang Iran Timur Saka kuno yang mendiami stepa Asia Tengah dan merupakan bagian dari kebudayaan Skithia yang lebih luas.[ 6] Tomyris , dan dugaan kekalahannya serta pembunuhan Koresh Agung , pendiri Kekaisaran Akhemeniyah Suku Persia .
Suku Massagetae mengalami kemunduran setelah abad ke-3 SM, setelah itu mereka bergabung dengan beberapa suku lain untuk membentuk Suku Alan , sebuah bangsa yang termasuk dalam konfederasi suku Bangsa Sarmatia yang lebih besar, dan yang bergerak ke arah barat menuju stepa Kaukasia dan Eropa, di mana mereka berpartisipasi dalam peristiwa Masa Migrasi di Eropa .
