John Holbrook "Jack" Vance (28 Agustus 1916–26 April 2013) adalah seorang penulis fiksi ilmiah, fantasi dan misteri asal Amerika. Melalui sebagian besar karyanya yang diterbitkan di bawah nama Jack Vance, ia juga menulis 9 novel misteri memakai nama lengkapnya John Holbrook Vance, tiga di bawah pseudonimEllery Queen, dan masing-masing satu memakai pseudonim pseudonyms Alan Wade, Peter Held, John van See, dan Jay Kavanse.[1][4] Beberapa edisi dari karya terbitannya menyebut tahun kelahirannya adalah 1920.
