Citra tubuh adalah pikiran, perasaan, dan persepsi seseorang tentang estetika atau daya tarik seksual dari tubuhnya sendiri.[1] Konsep citra tubuh digunakan dalam sejumlah disiplin ilmu, termasuk ilmu saraf, psikologi, kedokteran, psikiatri, psikoanalisis, filsafat, studi budaya dan feminisme. Berbagai media dalam budaya populer juga sering menggunakan istilah tersebut. Dalam seluruh disiplin ilmu ini, tidak ada definisi konsensus tunggal, tetapi secara umum citra tubuh terdiri dari cara orang memandang diri mereka sendiri; ingatan, pengalaman, asumsi, dan perbandingan mereka tentang penampilan mereka sendiri; dan sikap mereka secara keseluruhan terhadap tinggi tubuh, bentuk tubuh, dan berat masing-masing[2]—semuanya dibentuk oleh gagasan dari cita-cita sosial dan budaya.
