He made his provincial debut for Ulster in 1998, and went on to make 69 appearances in two stints for the province. In the early years of professionalism he played three seasons at Saracens, helping them win the Tetley's Bitter Cup in 1998.[2] He returned to Ulster in 1999,[3] won the All-Ireland League with Dungannon in 2001, and retired in 2002.[4]
He studied dentistry at Trinity College Dublin[2] and currently practices as a dental surgeon.[5] He was appointed head coach of Dungannon in 2012,[1] and held the position until 2014.[6]
