On March 22, 2025, Reaves became the first driver born in the 2010s to win an ARCA race, winning on his East Series debut at Five Flags Speedway after starting from pole position.[10][11][12] After missing the race at Rockingham, he won the next two races at Nashville Fairgrounds and at Flat Rock, becoming only the second driver since Will Rodgers to win in their first three starts in the East Series.[13][14]

Reaves scored a runner-up finish in his first race in the series at Berlin[15] before winning the following week at Elko after overtaking Brenden Queen and Lavar Scott.[16] He also won at Madison after leading all but one lap from the pole,[17] as well as the season ending race at Toledo Speedway.[18]
Reaves is the son of Jeremy Reaves, who is the co-owner of Cook Out, and grandson of franchise founder Morris Reaves.[6] He is the older brother of Roo Reaves, who also competes in racing.[24]

JGR's ARCA program will now have Max Reaves piloting the #18 Cook Out Toyota full time in the East division this season, Reaves will be the first ARCA driver to run who was born in the 2010s (January 7, 2010). Along with FT East, Reaves is expected to follow a similar schedule to Sawalich and run the ARCA Main division races that his age allows him to run in the #18 as well.
