During his time as a Demon Deacon from 2021 through 2024, Gulbin appeared in 41 games with 23 starts primarily at offensive guard, where for his performance in 2024 he earned honorable mention all-ACC honors.[3][4] After the conclusion of the 2024 season, he decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[5]
Michigan State
Gulbin transferred to play for the Michigan State Spartans.[6] Heading into the season, he was named the team's starting center, while also being named to the Rimington Award Watch List.[7][8] Gulbin was also named one of the Spartans team captains.[9] He started the first 11 games at center in his lone season at Michigan State, missing the final game due to injury, and was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten.[10] In his five-year college career, Gulbin played in 52 games, starting 22 games at guard and 12 at center.[11]
Gulbin was selected by the Washington Commanders in the sixth round with the 209th overall pick of the 2026 NFL draft, signing his four-year rookie contract on May 8, 2026.[14][15]
