Born in Leeds, Redshaw began his career at local side West Park Leeds RUFC before joining the Newcastle Falcons Academy at the age of fourteen.[3] He joined the senior Academy in 2023 after completing his studies at Sedbergh School,[4] where he also played rugby, signing a two-year contract.[5][6]
Redshaw made his debut for England under-20 playing in a warm up match against Bath Academy ahead of the 2024 Six Nations.[17] He started all five of their games during the tournament and scored a try in the last round as England defeated France to win the title.[18]
Redshaw was included in the squad for the 2024 World Rugby U20 Championship and scored a try in their opening pool fixture against Argentina.[19] An injury sustained in the semi-final victory over Ireland ruled him out of the final which England won to become Junior World Champions.[20][21]
