At redshift 1.048, it is one of the luminous and distant AGNs (Active Galactic Nuclei) observed.[3] 3C 212 is classified as radio-loud and is considered to be a prototype "red quasar",[4][5][6] with a faint optical counterpart. In additional, it is said to contain an X-ray absorber.[3] References 1 2 3 4 5 "Query : 3C 212". Simbad. Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg.
