Kebijakan Wikimedia (23 Maret 2007) melarang foto tokoh yang masih hidup dengan lisensi nonbebas; foto-foto tokoh yang masih hidup sedapat mungkin dicarikan yang berlisensi sesuai dengan lisensi yang digunakan Wikipedia (lisensi CC-BY-SA).
