Invitation to participate in a research
Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Wikipedia. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.

Edit pages for ISSS Presidents
Dear Mdd, I have noticed that you have been very active in developing and maintaining articles for systems science. I volunteered to help ISSS update existing pages as well as create new ones to promote systems thinking, its community and their projects. Would you be willing to help us? Thodorakis (talk) 23:53, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
Thx, @Thodorakis: you are most welcome to proceed and for example encourage people involved to make available portrait photographs under CC-licenses. What did you haven in mind? -- Mdd (talk) 11:00, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
My apologies for the long delay. ISSS now has a wiki from where one could get information about people and other issues. I wonder if you could create pages for those of the latest presidents that you consider notable:
Thx, @Mdd: I have contacted the members of the current Board asking them for portrait photographs under CC-licenses as well as ideas for missing articles concerning the current state of systems science they consider important Thodorakis (talk) 20:10, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello Mdd! My name is MaryKate, and I'm employed by Project Management Institute. I saw that you were interested in reviewing a couple of previous COI edit requests submitted on PMI's Talk page, and wondered if you might be interested in this most recent request?
Let me know if there are any questions or concerns. Thanks! MK at PMI (talk) 18:28, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

Thx @EdJohnston:, that article was created in 2015 as part of an effort to explore and give a more coherent presentation on Wikipedia-EN of the most outstanding European business theorists, business schools and institutes by country and region (here Scandinavia) by that time. The first version was presented based on the affiliations and theoretical contributions of this scientist also in compare to other Swedish business theorists.
Now two months ago a new chapter has been added to the initial biography, see here, since its regular career made an remarkable turn. Both the start of the article in 2015 and that new chapter have been removed, see here a month ago as uncited content. Now I think we both know that more than 80% of all Wikipedia content can be removed based on this argument, and more than 80% of all possible content has been removed of the general internet in recent years.
For me it all comes down to the question how we want to proceed representing the scientific developments. It think the initial intention is what Wikipedia is about, and deserves further maintaining and expansion. This particular case seems to be an interesting case to keep representing, but this must be done in a respectable way. About three years ago I returned to my own core business, and paused my contributions to Wikipedia-EN. Now to your first question, I don't have any recent information. I could assess the new sources, and/or contact some of my Scandinavian contacts. Best regards. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 10:26, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
You are invited to participate in the Destubathon of the Americas, a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:16, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
