@Steel1943 think the redirect “Felony and Misdemeanour” may be useful as a search term, but its usefulness depends on whether readers are likely to search for the combined phrase rather than the individual terms. It may be worth considering whether this redirect aligns with Wikipedia’s guidelines on plausibility and common usage. Are there reliable sources or usage patterns that support keeping this as a redirect, or should it be redirected separately to “Felony” and “Misdemeanor” instead Iambethanycox (talk) 04:15, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
TBH I don't remember why I created this. Usually I create similar redirects to match an article title in the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica, but I realize that isn't the case here and the comment (21 years ago!) suggests it's related to the newest EB. I'm completely agnostic on this one. David Brooks (talk) 23:13, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for the context. In the absence of a clear connection to the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica or another reliable naming basis, the redirect’s purpose is unclear. Per Wikipedia’s general guidance on meaningful redirects, it may be best to remove it unless a justification can be established. Iambethanycox (talk) 02:41, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
AWB release
For AWB release stuff please message me on wiki rather than email. If you don't have the sourceforge access to upload a new zip to https://sourceforge.net/projects/autowikibrowser/files/autowikibrowser/ then tell me where else zip is and I'll add it there. For admin edits to enable the version you would need to request that via wikipedia protected edit request. If an admin wants to see more involvement/confirmation from me etc. you could create a thread on e.g. WP:AWB/Dev and I can comment. I am not generally in the position at the moment to provide that much help with AWB - real life has taken over. Thanks Rjwilmsi 15:51, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
@Rjwilmsi: OK, understand completely. I preferred to keep the conversation one-on-one but will switch to Talk. I'll work on those steps when time permits. Thanks, David Brooks (talk) 17:11, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
Hi David, do you want any bug reports on Phabricator? 01:32, 16 May 2026 (UTC) Neils51 (talk) 01:32, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
Sure, but ping me here too at least for now. I don't check phab regularly; I only got into this at first to fix things that were bothering me. I hope I didn't introduce a regression! David Brooks (talk) 03:30, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
OK, thanks. Sorted it. Need to run the updater manually (and permit it) before it will work from the <Help> option. Might get a few people! Neils51 (talk) 11:22, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
@Neils51: good point. I've updated the Talk Page, using the Properties method. I'll edit the main instructions asap but have to run now. David Brooks (talk) 15:01, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
