The approval of the draft for "Quaglia Sovversiva"
Hello!
In the past months, I've worked on a series of articles about Marco Castello, and I saw that you've been doing that too! I also noticed that you moved the article I wrote about Contenta tu to the mainspace after it had been considered not ready for it and thus was moved in the draftspace. The same thing has happened to the article I made about Quaglia Sovversiva. Could you take a look at it by any chance? In my opinion it does not differ much from the one you approved.
Thanks in advance in any case! DrefromItaly (talk) 10:23, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
I added some sources and moved it to the mainspace. As a friendly suggestion, if you want avoid situations like these, dont be stingy with sources, add as many as you can (well, without exaggerating), preferably giving priority to sources that have a Wikipedia page. Cavarrone 10:56, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks a lot! Really happy that Castello and his music finally have their articles. Thanks a lot again! DrefromItaly (talk) 11:06, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
Help!
Hello Cavarrone! I don't want to bother as I've done enough of that yesterday, but I saw you replaced some of my sources on the article about Bar Mediterraneo because they were low quality. As I'm (kinda) new to creating articles and I've never been told that the sources I chose were low quality, could you explain to me what you meant by that?
Thanks a whole lot. DrefromItaly (talk) 13:49, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
Take a look at WP:SIGCOV and Wikipedia:PSTS which explain the kind of sources one is expected to provide in an article to demonstrate its subject is notable. The Carosello Records website is not a good source because it is primary and not independent, as it is the label which produced/released the album. The Nu Genea page on Bandcamp is also primary. What was left were 2 Rockit articles, one of them duplicated, so the article was at risk of being moved to draft, if not nominated for deletion (not saying it would had happened, but with only 2 articles from the same website it was in a vulnerable position). I removed one duplicate plus the Carosello website, and added three reviews from established publications. As a general suggestion, if you want to create other articles about albums without taking risks, add at least 3 reviews from 3 established sources that have Wikipedia pages. Rockol, Rolling Stone Italia, Rumore and Ondarock are generally very good resources for reviews. If you can find reviews from non-specialized publications like Panorama, even better. If you have doubts about the rules, remember you can start a thread at Wikipedia:Teahouse. My best, Cavarrone 14:46, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
Thanks a lot mate! DrefromItaly (talk) 15:20, 31 March 2026 (UTC)

Part of the problem is that goes against the basic MOS when it comes to categorizing articles. For example, we don't put character categories on Darkstalkers or Battle Arena Toshinden, despite both series articles detailing the characters in them. The categorization should reflect the base core of the article, which is about the comic in this case. Additionally there's been consensus in the last few years not to put many categories on character redirects, as this is leading to category bloat especially regarding per year categories (in the VG space, this got especially bad; imagine every pokemon suddenly bloating up "introduced in YEAR" categories.
Mind you the bigger problem is the subject may not meet notability as is, but my main concern is trying to wrangle the character end of the comics project. Kung Fu Man (talk) 22:33, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
No opinion on Rork's notability (I have not investigated it) but if an article cover both the series and the title character there is very little ambiguity or justification for removing categories relevant to either. If multiple characters are covered in an article, then categorizing the redirects is likely the best option. Wikipedia:Categorizing redirects certainly allows (if not suggests) categorizations of redirects, especially see WP:SUBTOPICCAT and WP:LISTRCAT. Cavarrone 22:51, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for volunteering. No one at that AfD actually cited any sources. They just !voted keep based on the article looking impressive. I looked at all of the sources in the article myself and this was literally the best one. There was nothing else close to independent or SIGCOV. Canada Soccer and the American Conference are not independent of Balata because she competed for both of those organizations. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 16:08, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
Hi, while no specific sources were cited, sources other than Canada Soccer and the American Conference were added to the article after the nomination, and the discussion was all about given sources, with a large majority of editors referring to them as enough for a claim of notability according to WP:HEY, SPORTBASIC and GNG. If you request it, I can revert my closure and let someone else close it, by the way. Cavarrone 17:26, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
Would you be willing to relist it? ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:28, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
I am available to revert my closure and let someone else decide how to deal with it. I don't want to replace a potentially controversial decision with another potentially controversial decision. Cavarrone 17:31, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
Okay, do what you think is best. Thank you, ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:38, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
Hi. Editors have having a discussion on whether to split this article into separate articles or keep it as one. Me and the other editors presented some arguments for and against in a section that isn't too big here, and then the "surevy" of editors voicing their opinions is in a section below that, which is here. Can you participate? I've been working very hard on this article since 2009, and would appreciate a wide swath of opinions. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 02:35, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

Hey! Would you reconsider your relisting here? It seems like the nom an and all the participants from the last week support the draftification. The one redirect vote seems to also support the draftification and since the cross namespace redirect is always deleted theres a good possibility to also implement the redirect as suggested.
