Hi there, thanks for becoming my new mentor! I have a couple questions... This is the first one. I've been trying to figure this out forever, and I just can't. Can you point me to instructions on how to link a comment to another comment on the talk page? Thank you so much! Slava570 (talk) 17:08, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
@Slava570: Hi, glad to help out! Typically the way this is done is just by referencing the relevant talk page, sometimes including a section link. The way that would be done to link to this conversation, for instance, would be User talk:AviationFreak#Linking to a comment on a talk page. If you want to highlight a specific comment (though not really the context in which it occurred), a diff can be used to show a specific contribution. The comment you left that I'm responding to can be viewed at Special:Diff/1346575553. Let me know if you have other questions! AviationFreak💬 18:19, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you so much! I've linked this comment to my sandbox, so I can refer to it later. Slava570 (talk) 18:43, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
You can also copy the timestamp link to the exact comment. For example, your last comment - Flower (she/her) 20:24, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, this helps so much! Slava570 (talk) 20:43, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
Hello!
I’ve been working on an article to translate from Ukranian into English, with the help of the translation machine.I have done the Chornyy Lis Republic, a small Ukranian microstate during the Russian Civil War. I have finished the draft, but I don’t know what to do next? How can I submit my draft? How can I fix a few things that are broken on the article (like a picture not showing up)? Help will be appreciated

Thanks, Qazers --Qazers (talk) 17:55, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
@Qazers: Hi! I think the issue with the image is that the one on the ukwiki article is not on Commons, so it would need to be manually added on enwiki (why it wasn't added on Commons is unclear to me - maybe copyright concerns?). With that said, there is a very similar image available here on Commons that could be used in your draft. As for submitting the draft, I think it would be best to go through Articles for Creation to ensure notability. To do this, folllow the instructions here: you can either go through a more wizard-style submission or add {{subst:submit}} to the top of your draft. In either case, you should see a yellow box indicating that the draft is waiting to be reviewed. From there, an experienced editor will either accept or reject the article, in the latter case offering insight as to what needs to be improved about the article. Let me know if you have any other questions! AviationFreak💬 19:50, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
The picture has been changed and it’s up for draft. Thanks for the help! Qazers (talk) 22:57, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
So, in general what is Wikipedia! questions amirite --Norhyrex The Grand (talk) 17:50, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
@Norhyrex The Grand: Predominantly it's a big free online encyclopedia, created with the goal of making information accessible to everyone. There's a great page available here that talks about why Wikipedia exists. Let me know if you have any other questions! AviationFreak💬 19:22, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
So how do I make a article, aviation… hmmmm Norhyrex The Grand (talk) 02:07, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
There's a guide here on creating an article. AviationFreak💬 23:12, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

EFNS?
Hi there, sorry for two questions in a row. I just tried to add three efns to the Semitic people page and it gave me a note that says: ...the references will not show without a "{reflist|group=lower-alpha}" template or "{notelist}" template, and now I'm stuck with how to add this... What do I do? Thanks in advance! Slava570 (talk) 17:12, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
@Slava570: Of course! This should be a relatively easy fix: just put one of those templates (e.g., {{notelist}}) towards the bottom of the page. Like {{reflist}}, these templates just specify where the note list (or reference list) is to appear on the page. I would typically do this by creating a separate Level 2 heading (e.g., == Notes ==) directly above the "References" heading and including your notelist as the only thing in the Notes section. The full guide to page layout, including this topic, is at MOS:NOTES. AviationFreak💬 19:55, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you! I finally got it... Slava570 (talk) 20:11, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for taking the role of the mentor. I really appreciate all efforts of wiki actively supporting members.
I have a question about my wiki account. I have established my initial account mradziwo long time ago and I need to admit I have left the wiki for quite a bit:(.
I have used my username mradziwo (without tailing "n") but I do not have the access to the e-mail I have used to create it. Is there any way to reclaim my username (that I use across some other platforms too)?
Best regards
Mike --Mradziwon (talk) 19:21, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
@Mradziwon: I'm sorry to hear that you've lost access to that email. If you still remember the password you used to create the account, you should be able to login just using the username and that password. From there, there's an option in your user preferences to change the email address associated with the account. If you've lost access to the email and your password though, as far as I am aware there is not a way to recover your account. The relevant help page is here. In cases like these, it's not uncommon for users to simply note that they used to edit from a different account on their user talk page. Let me know if you have any other questions! Hello, I’m unsure how to add my edits to the hurricane harvey wiki page for a school project. --Nikinak1211 (talk) 13:51, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
@Nikinak1211: Welcome to Wikipedia! The Hurricane Harvey article is semi-protected, meaning you need an account that is at least 4 days old and with at least 10 edits. Your account is a couple of months old, but as I write this you only have 6 edits. If you make a few more edits (for instance, to Effects of Hurricane Harvey in Texas as I see you've been doing), you should be able to edit the main article on Harvey. As you write, make sure you're using references to support the claims you make. Let me know if you have any questions! AviationFreak💬 19:37, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
Hello! I am editing for a Wiki Education class but after I input my edits, it seems like I was not logged in on Wikipedia.org. My professor is unable to see my edits, and someone edited my edits within seconds of adding them. Is there any way to remedy this? My professor suggested trying to re-add them in but I am nervous to alter the persons work and about it thinking I am copying work since I had already entered these edits but without my logged in account. --MistyMoo10 (talk) 20:11, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
@MistyMoo10: Hi! This can be frustrating, sorry you're having trouble editing! Your edits to Azara's night monkey were reverted by UtherSRG - I'd suggest getting in contact with them directly on a talk page, they won't bite. As far as your edit history, there's no way to change which user an edit is logged under. Your un-logged-in edits are (presumably) here, and your logged-in edits are here. I think your best course of action would be to look at expanding sections of the night monkey article that are currently lacking (e.g., Predation & Conservation), but talking to the user who reverted your edits might shed some more light on what you can do next time to ensure your edits stand. Thank you for contributing to the project, let me know if you have any other questions!🙂 AviationFreak💬 15:17, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
Just to say hello but I am having a problem getting to my sandbox. I have an article to write. I've written a draft containing those things that can be sourced, but not those that cannot. I'll keep trying --Paulspencerchapman (talk) 13:53, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
@Paulspencerchapman: Your sandbox is here. There should also be a link in the upper-right corner of the website when you are logged in. Let me know if you have other questions! AviationFreak💬 15:10, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
