Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article A Storm in Heaven you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Lazman321 -- Lazman321 (talk) 19:04, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
15 years. I made an account on this website 15 years ago; for most people, that is a really long time. For others, that is an extremely tiny portion in the grand scheme of human history. That length of time out lasts multiple genres of music and even the lifetime of many, many bands. I got serious about my time on here when I used to be into a bug-themed band, before eventually drifting to progressive pastures. For my own peace of mind, I took a break that lasted longer than intended. When my tastes went post, so did my editing territory upon returning.
I've seen the creation of many publications in that time, and the destruction of others along the way. Never thought something I worked on would ever end up on the main page, but it did. The arrivals and departures of colleagues I've had the pleasure of editing alongside. Admiration for the work of others that I've not interacted with, but have been glad to read, even for things I've had no interest in. The tireless and often thankless work involved in reviewing articles I've edited — and others I've not touched — in my time here.
It's been on my mind since late 2023, so now, 15 years in, seems as good a time as any. Perhaps I'll write the next Great American Novel or take up fishing. The world is my oyster. Never say never, I suppose; maybe I'll get the itch to scratch again one day, but for now, it stopped being fun. So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes — till we meet again, everyone.
