Close at WP:Articles for deletion/Maakgalake Pholwane
I made a slight formatting change to your close at this AfD. It's a speedy keep (see WP:CSK) and by using the term speedy keep in the close, the AfD stats tool will be able to process it. Regards, Goldsztajn (talk) 11:36, 21 August 2025 (UTC)
Articles_for_deletion/Plant-based_cat_food
I'd like to ask you give your redirect recommendation of plant-based cat food another look.
In general, as to my comment on the discussion page:
- This topic deserves it's own page as an article spin-off WP:SPINOFF. Adding all the relevant information that is worthy of Wikipedia to the existing cat food page would make it too large and probably put WP:UNDUE weight on the cat food article.
- This is a new page accepted only 2 months ago for which I have not yet gotten to the point of fully splitting the content out of the original cat food page. I request more time to complete this and to leave the page in place right now
Specifically on your comment: The article start actually points out that plant-based cat food is characterized by the lack of animal products, and calls out synthetic and mineral sources as ingredients too.
Reliable sources have been used, and the tone reflects the research available on the topic, rather than the view of any ideology. At least that is what I aimed to do and fine tune with the help of the AfC process. I feel that the reporter's representation of the article is incorrect and very biased, all I ask is that you judge this young article on its merit. Sklabb (talk) 10:01, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

Statement on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Killing of Iryna Zarutska
The nom was closed early an hour ago as a keep, and I have no issue with it at all as the mainstream newscast and further RS mentions/analysis solidified notability and my vote was made well before there was more attention on it, some of it which brought unexpected attention to the AfD process. I also emphasize that my vote was never political and was made well before it was raised as having a political connection (see the unrelated other crime AfDs I voted on at the same time as part of a wave that happened to take place that day before that nomination was made). Removed my userpage for now as it was attracting unwanted attention (it needs cleanup anyways and is well-outmoded in design) and because of off-site transphobia; just taking a temporary break, and I apologize if my views were too strong within the nomination. I'm self-banning myself from current true crime AfDs for the time being as they are getting overheated and political, and are headed into sanction area territory I never expected. Nathannah • 📮 00:15, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
- Saw someone being transphobic and directly linking your User Profile on Twitter (While incorrectly stating that you created the AfD). Came to check the account out and tell you to be well and ignore the noise. Although I do not agree with your AfD post directly, attacking someone for who they are is freakish behavior. All of the people off platform are cowardice IRL and want some internet points doing whatever they can. Blod722 (talk) 02:20, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
Articles for Deletion
Sir, I read your answer well during the AfD Discussion for Cast AI. Can I ask your opinion as an experienced editor - for my mental sanity. Would you personally nominate this company page Adagio Teas for deletion (created 2 days ago) considering that 9 out of 10 of their sources are either a company website or start with the likes of TRENTON, New Jersey (disguised press release)? KAAL studio location
Wow, this one ended up being deeper than I could put in an edit summary. Barclay Square apparently was a former enclosed mall, which was renamed and converted to a strip mall in the 1990s.[1] I found references that indicate TJ Maxx Plaza is the current name or at least more current than Barclay Square.[2] A movie theater there used the name into the 1990s or 2000s. The signs on the center don't give a name.
The bigger issue is that the name failed verification in connection to KAAL and with the existing references provided. Pages like KAAL are earmarked for someday an appearance at WP:GAN. You can't go adding things that aren't already in the existing sources without new sources. I'd be fine removing the TJ Maxx mention out of the lead, though.

Temporary account IP viewer granted

Hello, Nathannah. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:
- You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
- Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).
It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:
- When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
- Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
- Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).
Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! Sohom (talk) 17:27, 29 November 2025 (UTC)

G10 requires that the page be "entirely negative in tone and unsourced". The McDonnell case article is not unsourced, so I don't think it qualifies for that. It will need to go to AfD to be deleted. 331dot (talk) 15:48, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

Problem on Commons regarding you, me, and other users (as sockpuppets)
So apparenty, me, @Mvcg66b3r, and 2 other users were blocked because they kept they are sockpuppet accounts of you: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Nathannah and on his talk page it seems: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Mvcg66b3r
And also, I don't even know how I've been involved since I've only been on here for like almost 3 years and if we were sockpuppets of you, isn't it weird we're not blocked on this main Wikipedia? Also, your account would've been blocked already on there, I don't know, there's something strange and fishy coming on here.
@Sammi Brie, and @Nathan Obral seems to have tried to fight back to no avail and it seems like the only way for this mutiny to be cleared is you need to talk to @Jameslwoodward (the user who blocked Mvcg66b3r, and @Lymantria (the user who blocked me and the 2 other users). OWaunTon (talk) 13:06, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- Huh? Y'all got banned for being "sockpuppets"? What was/is happening for that to happen, and... I have no words for any of this, just what?! mer764KC / Cospaw⛲️ (He/Him | 💬Talk! • 📦Contributions) 16:15, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

- Thanks for letting me know this morning because I was completely in the dark this was happening with no notifications at all. I am just confused and a bit angered about this happening without any cause or real reason shared as to the suspicions. Nathannah • 📮 16:23, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- You didn't know, @Nathannah?! Then yeah, somebody is trying to slander your name and ban anyone that knows or edits similar to you it seems.
- Somebody needs to lose their adminship over at Commons for defamation or something. OWaunTon (talk) 16:27, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Nathannah and @OWaunTon - It's also blatant discrimination at mvcg, who is neurodivergent and has difficulty communicating at times, which Sammi and I have had to assist him with. Of course he's going to have trouble defending a block and needs character witnesses! What is infuriating is how James Woodward is so utterly convinced in his views and is talking down to me and Sammi in almost a mocking way. It is a black eye on Wikimedia that needs to be addressed. Nathan Obral • he/him/🦝 • t • c • 16:33, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- I am too but at least I understand and work through the process, where Mvcg definitely needs guidance but is a productive editor. How can they see that my mostly static IP is a 'proxy' at all, and that I only log onto Commons when I upload images or see an issue with an image I see on en.wiki compared to him, who has their own behavior that is completely different? 16:39, 2 January 2026 (UTC) Nathannah • 📮 16:39, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

- And @Nathan Obral and @Nathannah, for the record, I'm in Oklahoma, and just turned 18 a couple months and that's all I'm disclosing if that helps anything since I can't say anything on Commons. OWaunTon (talk) 18:52, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

Cutting through all the comments above is the fact that two checkusers, myself and Lymantria, have confirmed. Nathannah and Mvcg66b3r are either sockpuppets, meat puppets (that is, two people using the same Ip Address and computer), or are using a proxy located in a state that neither of them is in. I think the latter is most likely and that is something they must fix. . Jim . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 15:30, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- Lymantria has apologized and called it a false positive six hours before this statement, suggesting you're going against them. How the hell are we supposed to fix this when we're on two different ISPs and it's unlikely Mvcg knows what a proxy is (I know because it's my job to know but I certainly don't use proxies and know not to be on a VPN when I'm editing)? This is incredibly unhelpful and it seems like the only solution is for one of us to choose to never upload anything to Commons again because you're asserting that somehow two different people with completely different router setups in different states need to 'fix' it, for an issue that happened two months ago that was suddenly under a checkuser when nobody was vandalizing or personally attacking one another?!
- I'm thankful Lymantria sincerely apologized and was neutral during their examination of the evidence, but your own stubborn insistence and telling us to 'fix' a proxy issue we have no idea how to fix has me reconsidering using Commons for any purpose. I'd rather just upload copyright-free images here from now on and let the bots move them over so I can avoid whatever 'problems' I'm not able to fix because I have no guidance here on how to avoid a one-in-a-million situation like we ended up in, and continuing to insist on a 'guilty until proven innocent' claim we are meatpuppets after another checkuser said it was a false positive?
- Your lack of communication over the last four days with me and everyone else has been appalling, Jim. Instead of informing both of us, you just blocked Mvcg with a template, I received no notifications at all here or on Commons until OWaunTon got desperate to fix their own punitive block and notified me, and the fact not a byte of conversation on the RfC came from you speaks volumes, as if you shoved it off for Lymantria to resolve rather than fix on your own. I'm thankful all of us were found to be in the right. I'm mad because you were of absolutely no help in trying to resolve the situation, and my disappointment in that, and you, is going to linger for quite awhile. Nathannah • 📮 18:32, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Nathannah, you do not need to fix a proxy issue. Neither of you are on proxies. The en-wiki data is very clear and is as exonerating as it is possible for CU data to be. The corresponding Commons data was inexplicable to me, so I was relieved to hear this is a known bug with FileImporter. -- asilvering (talk) 21:02, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for helping to untangle this; I never thought making an image for a low-tier TV station transparent on a random October Friday night would have led to such a major and uncorrected bug that tangled us all in its web. Just fascinating to see now how everything worked to create this situation and I'm less mad now, more amused how Commons CU threw us all into chaos (though I'd still love to hear from Jim). Misplaced AfD nominations
It appears that the AfD nominations for Cassatella di Agira and Biscotti di San Martino by temporary account ~2026-32203-8 were misplaced at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Next Generation Action Network, which is an AfD that I have started for Next Generation Action Network. You have then closed those two misplaced AfD nominations under an AfD that is confusingly still open for a totally unrelated article. I have therefore removed both of those misplaced AfD nominations in Special:Diff/1333122533 to avoid the confusion that your misplaced AfD closures have caused. KFMB 8.2
Hello, I'm curious as to how the verification of station branding works around here... I saw that you reverted my edit on KFMB-TV relating to 8.2's branding and I'm lost as to how "MyTV San Diego" has been accepted as its brand despite there being zero real evidence that shows it as such, other than a random edit that was made with no description several weeks ago. I understand that the idea of a MyTV subchannel with a similar brand to the station's newscasts seems strange (I thought so too at first when the switch occurred..) but there is actual evidence out there (take this for example: https://www.cbs8.com/video/sports/mlb/padres/padres-fans-navigate-complicated-viewing-options-as-season-begins/509-8fd21162-a860-427f-bb54-c9475af23276) that indicates that they do indeed share brands. Since it's just station branding, I don't really see why this would need the same level of verification as a station affiliation, like the KUSI situation a few weeks ago. I'd appreciate your feedback on this because I don't really know how else this can be proven. Thanks! Waffl3coast (talk) 20:38, 7 April 2026 (UTC)
