Mathbot and the mathematics articles

Mathbot visits daily the list of mathematics categories and appends the articles found in the categories in the first section of that list to the alphabetical indices of mathematics articles. See the daily log of added mathematics articles.

Occasionally, articles which are not mathematical get placed by editors in a mathematics category, with the consequence that the bot adds them to the list of mathematics articles. Such articles need to be removed from the list of mathematics articles, and to prevent the bot from adding them back they should be taken out of any mathematics category as well.

When mathbot detects mathematics categories that are not in the list of mathematics categories, it adds them to a suggested list. The bot owner then adds these articles to the list of mathematics categories by hand. Note: simply editing the list of mathematics categories and adding new categories there will not be sufficient to have the bot visit the new categories, as the bot uses an off-line version of this list to avoid issues with users adding incorrect categories accidentally. Contact the bot owner to have new categories added to the list of mathematics categories.
