My full name is Kjetil Kjernsmo. I was born and have lived most of my life in Oslo, Norway. I'm currently doing a Ph.D. on Semantic Web technologies, after working 8 years in the computer industry. I do some programming, and can be considered a Free Software enthusiast. In computer-related fields, I like to program in Perl or the R programming language and I do spend some time thinking architecture before coding.

Back in the day, I did a master's in astrophysics, specifically in gravitational lensing but with a great interest in many fields.

In addition, I'm a long-time participant in the sport of orienteering, including ski-orienteering. Also, I like travelling, and enjoy visiting mountains while I'm out there. Before I got kids, I also enjoyed some climbing.

I love to contribute more to Wikipedia, but unfortunately, time really doesn't allow to make any substantial contributions. For now, I'm afraid only minor contributions can be expected from my hand.
