I find it odd that the 3421st Air Technical Training Squadron (or School Squadron, as we also called it) is not mentioned. I was assigned to this unit, 1978-1979. i have some very fond memories of Lowry. [[User:Gibby78}|Gibby78]].
The 4620 Training Squadron had two organization one for TAC (Tactical Air Command) which trained weapon troops who would work on Fighter Aircraft and SAC (Strategic Air Command)which trained Troops on Fighter Bomber and Bomber Aircraft. These schools lasted anywhere depending on assigned aircraft between six and 14 weeks.this Squadron utilized two major hangers on Lowery AFB the SAC hanger which housed the B-52 and F-111 and the Black Shack Hanger which housed all other Fighter Aircraft.Breck136 (talk) 01:49, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

Completed Training at Lowry
I completed Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist Training on 6 November 1979 at Lowry AFB. However, it states on the page that "3400th Technical Training Wing, 1 April 1977 – 1 January 1978; 1 November 1979 – 27 April 1994." I believe this to be incorrect, otherwise, I would have completed my training in only 6 days time....quite the feat. I entered service on 11 July 1979 and after Basic I was sent to Lowry for tech school and the school was there before I got there. TazMage (talk) 04:55, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

My younger brother and I were born at Lowry. Our father was an instructor. We lived in NCO base housing, with our building next to the flight line. It was LOUD but it was the best place I can remember living at. Dad was reassigned to a new tour in Europe in 1970. Now I can't find even a trace of where I grew up.
