It has been proposed in this section that Carbuncle be renamed and moved to Carbuncle (pathology). Carbuncle → Carbuncle (pathology) – As was suggested by Zxcvbnm at Talk:Carbuncle (legendary creature), I do not believe there is a primary topic for the term "Carbuncle". I think the gemstone, the mythical creature, and the medical term are all roughly equally likely intended targets. I don't think there is a particularly strong case that the medical term is necessarily the most likely intended destination.

Additionally, while it makes sense to use the image of a carbuncle on this page per WP:NOTCENSORED, it's really not ideal that people searching for those other terms land on this page with a rather graphic depiction of the medical condition. SnorlaxMonster 07:41, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

• Support dual move Also moving Carbuncle (disambiguation) to Carbuncle to replace this page. There is very clearly no primary topic by pageviews or longterm significance. I also might prefer Carbuncle (skin infection), Carbuncle (skin condition), or Carbuncle (medical condition).. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 10:43, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
