Shigeo Kurata (倉田 重夫code: ja is deprecated , Kurata Shigeo) adalah seorang ahli botaniJepang dan ahli taksonomiNepenthes yang bekerja pada tahun 1960-an sampai 1970-an dan berkontribusi banyak pada tumbuhan populer ini.[1][2] Karyanya yang dikenal terbaik adalah Nepenthes of Mount Kinabalu.[3]Nepenthes kurata diberi nama untuk menghormatinya.[2]
