Pulau Baru-Baru sendiri hanya berada beberapa meter di atas permukaan air. Terdapat kompleks perumahan kecil di pulau itu dan beberapa gubuk di tepi selatan.[2] Sebuah saluran selebar sekitar 500 m dan Jembatan Temburong memisahkan pulau dari Pulau Berbunut di selatan.[3]
