Layanan Pos Amerika Serikat (bahasa Inggris: United States Postal Servicecode: en is deprecated ), yang juga dikenal sebagai Post Office, U.S. Mail, atau Postal Service, yang sering disingkat sebagai USPS, adalah sebuah agensi independen pemerintah Amerika Serikat yang bertugas menyediakan layanan pos di Amerika Serikat. Agensi tersebut merupakan salah satu dari beberapa agensi pemerintah yang secara khusus dikendalikan oleh Konstitusi Amerika Serikat.

U.S. Mail bermula pada 1775 saat Kongres Benua Kedua, di mana Benjamin Franklin dilantik menjadi postmaster general pertama. Post Office Department dibuat pada 1792 dari operasi Franklin, ditingkatkan menjadi departemen tingkat kabinet pada 1872, dan diubah pada 1971 menjadi Layanan Pos AS sebagai sebuah agensi pemerintah AS.

Kantor Pos

Ada sekitar 36.000 kantor pos, stasiun, dan cabang dari US Postal Service.^[1] Selain mengirim dan menerima surat dan paket, USPS menawarkan prangko, kartu pos, alat tulis, dan foto paspor AS.^[2] Mulai April 2020, pendaftaran layanan paspor USPS diperlukan.
