Alexander of Islay atau Alexander MacDonald (wafat 1449; bahasa Gaelik Skotlandia:Alasdair MacDomhnaill, Dòmhnallach atau MacDhòmhnaillcode: gd is deprecated ) adalah seorang bangsawan Skotlandia abad pertengahan, yang meneruskan ayahnya Domhnall dari Islay sebagai Lord of the Isles (1423–1449) dan meraih pangkat Earl of Ross (1437–49). Karier besarnya, khususnya sebelum merebut earldom of Ross, membuat Hugh MacDonald, penulis abad ke-17 dari History of the MacDonalds, menyebutnya sebagai "seorang pria yang lahir dalam banyak masalah sepanjang masa hidupnya".[1]
